and sorry buddy your ECs arent that strong.

btw what does match = in percentages? 50-60%, reach?, safe match?

im really looking at ann arbor right now (LAS) or maybe since my gpa isnt so good shud i go to rutgers for 1 semester and then transfer out?

a lot of questions, i know, but any help would be appreciated.

and clarification for the UN intern/volunteer i meant that only postgrad students from college can get in not highschool postgrad so i thought that was a little interesting seeing as though i have never seen it as anyones "hooks" so to say

Match = Around 60%
Safe Match = 70-80%
Reach = Less than 25%

NYU - Match / Slight Reach (Slight Reach / Reach for Stern)
Boston U - Match
Boston C - Slight Reach / Reach

um Cvjn does umich weight honors or ap's? because if it doesn't i have around a 3.4.

the truth is i (to say the least) screwed up sophomore year. im not dumb i just didnt try (at all). this year however i have A's in all my academic classes.

quick clarification...if this year (11th) im in British Lit (English Course maintaing an A)
and i'm in AP Language and Composistion (maintaining an A as well) what will they (UMICH) look at? not that it makes a dif. gpa wise.

That doesn't include AP/Honors classes. Those are the same as normal classes.

UMich is really big on GPA and standarized test scores, but mostly GPA. I've known a kid in my school who literally got a 3.9 and a 23-24 on ACT and still got in.

his classes were easy blow off academic classes and he had really no EC's. I'm actually not too sure how he got in still...

but my school kinda sends kids to UMich a lot (12 kids I think out of about 120 that went off to college)

thats good to know, although now i feel a bit down...

ok...so trying to be a little less down on myself:

would it be better if i went to a decent/pretty good school such as BU/PSU/MAU or Rutgers...(i dont want to stay in state..haha) and then transferring to LAS in U Mich after first term.

...considering i do very well first semester.

can u explain ur gpa? cuz like, u say you have a 3.5 weighted and a 4.7 uw, i htink u mean that the other way around so ud have a 3.5 uw, 4.7 weighted, but how do u have more than 1 point above ur uw gpa for ur weighted gpa?

in our school we get 6 credits for AP/ Honors classes (6 = A, 5 = B, etc..)
we get 5 credits for Level 1/Accelerated classes
we get 4 credits for Level 2/regular classes such as gym/health/electives

so basically even if we get A's in gym our gpa goes down a lot.
