I am currently majoring in civil engineering with an emphasis of architecture, and im applying to UCs with civil engineering with architecture as my secondary.. but in my transfer essay, i put structural engineering with a minor in architecture, you think its fine to leave it as this? or do you think i should put civil engineering in my essay?

Structural engineering is a discipline of Civil Engineering. I'd assume if you are pursuing architecture, Structural engineering would be the best major.

What are you worried about exactly? The only possible problem I can think of is if the essay reader isn't familiar with engineering (not sure how UC transfer admissions work) and won't know it's part of civil engineering. If you already submitted the essay, I wouldn't worry about it. If you haven't yet, why not put civil engineering? Either way, I don't think it's going to help or hurt you.

oh okay cool, thanks. i was worried cause my essay was based on architectural stuff.. i'm already majored in civil engineering at my school, so i was thinking that it would be tough for me to just transfer from civil engineering to architecture at a UC. thats why i tried to relate architecture with civil as much as possible.
