So currently I am a Junior in AB Calculus, I made a jump from regular Pre-Cal which I got a B+ in but my basics in Algebra lack and now I currently failing Calculus with a 45 and it is the first grading period and now it’s too late to switch to stastics so the only two options I have is either to take Physical Education or stick with Calculus and I was thinking to take P.E and build up my algebra basics on the side with tutoring and take a try at it again next year as a senior without risking my gpa in junior year is this the right descision?
What does your counselor say? Is this an available option?
Talk to your guidance counselor.
I talked to my counselor and she was just scared that I might lose my abilities in math by taking a year off but I do have a private tutor who said that he will help me build up my basics in algebra and geometry while preparing me for the sat throughout the year so I am not to worried about that and I really just don’t want to put my college chances in jeopardy because of one class.
