Struggling with the joint degree programme essay!

I am having a lot of trouble with the essay for the joint programme with St. Andrews. It's supposed to be 1500-2000 words, but mine is only 800 and I've run out of things to say. I talk about:
-how I became interested in Economics
-why the joint programme is a good ft for me
-my particular interests within Economics
-what I have done in high school to develop my interest in Economics

what else should I talk about?

I also discussed why I want to study economics/my plans for the future

@Deblerg, have you discussed all of those topics in depth? Have you looked specifically at the econ curriculum in the joint degree programme and addressed your interest in those specific courses? Have you discussed your academic interest in economics (as opposed to maybe a more professional or simply informed citizen perspective)? Certainly if your essay falls short of 1500 words by a little bit that’s no big deal but we want to ensure tha tthe essay addresses your fit for the programme and your interest in the particular major.
