Stuck at 590 for SAT math. How to raise a score?

As the title says, I'm stuck in math. I consistently score a 590-620. While this is not terrible, all my SAT sections need to be at least a 700. I have taken math section practices and the actual SAT. I use Khan Academy to review the sections. After reviewing, it is apparent I know the content for the most part, I just lack the skills necessary to apply my knowledge. The PSAT results the other day has reaffirmed that I am stuck with this score. My parents seem to think I need a tutor.

So... how does one improve his or her math score? Continued practice in blue book or other prep books?

Do every single problem in the blue book. Then redo the ones you missed at least 2 to three times on separate occasions. Do them without a time limit. Underline important info in the problems ( like you would on a reading test) <, >, at least, etc. You’ll be more likely to catch the tricks that way.

I would imagine that Khan Academy is bad SAT test prep (it’s been relatively mediocre every time I’ve tried it).

Buy the Barron’s SAT 26th edition, and work through the 300 pages of math review. If you still get a 600 after that, it’s because your mathematical reasoning skills are lacking and there’s not much you can do about it.

Thank you. I guess I will focus on working through the Blue Book entirely and diagnosing what is wrong. From there, I will look through Barron’s.
