Stuck between two schools?

I think I have a very good chance at getting accepted at both schools, but I'm having a bit of trouble deciding?Do I? A. Live at home and attend a somewhat decent school Kennesaw State University, or do I spend 9,000 a year for four years at University of Georgia. Both places I would have an almost full ride, I have to pay for housing, but if I live at home I don't have to pay as much in rent. $200.

Can you afford the $9000? If so, pick the school you like best. If not, pick the only one you can afford, Kennesaw.

UGA bud, if that’s feasible. I hear it’s tons more fun and moving out can teach you some independence

If you have a near full ride and only need to pay for housing (or perhaps you mean full tuition, ie., Zell Miller = you must pay for room&board + books), it means you have high stats. At UGA you’d probably get into the Honors College and get fantastic opportunities you wouldn’t get at Kennesaw. You have to think in terms of value, too: UGA at a decent affordable price is worth more than Kennesaw for free (and if UGA really costs $9,000 a year all included, it means you can work in the summer, a few hours during the year, perhaps 6/week, and only take the subsidized portion of the federal loans… really a bargain). You could even see if at UGA you wouldn’t qualify for merit aid, too, in addition to Zell Miller.

??

No, you don’t.

Sounds like you have “almost free tuition.” It doesn’t sound like you have a “near free ride,” if your scholarship doesn’t include most of housing and meal plan as well.

A free ride covers tuition, room, board, books, etc.

Sounds like you have HOPE or Zell Miller…neither are near full rides.

You’re a junior. You have the stats to get free tuition and maybe more elsewhere.

Are you a likely NMF? What was your PSAT?

You don’t need to decide NOW…test again and see if you qualify for more elsewhere.
