<p>I was accepted into Revelle at UCSD and the Honors College at Stony. I'm from San Diego so I'd have basically no loans and I could stay at home, but I've always wanted to get away. The deadline is tomorrow and I just want opinions. PLEASE! :) I'm starting to get afraid that Stony is just a glorified SDSU in New York and I'd be making the wrong decision...</p>

<p>Man, I don’t know much about UCSD but based on rankings alone (i.e: US News) it seems like another top-notch University of California campus and its ahead of SBU. UCSD is 37th in the 2012 Rankings, SBU is 111th…</p>
<p>Both schools are strong research institutions and members of the AAU but I can’t make any comparison because I don’t know anything about UCSD. </p>
<p>But if you want to get away and live in the East Coast in the New York metro area then SBU would be a great choice.</p>
<p>Base your decision, on your major. For instance, if you were to study CSE[Computer Science], SBU by a mile due to Stony Brook’s excellent program. Now if you are studying something like business, stay away from SBU.</p>
