My son and his roommate flew back tonight but will miss their connection to fly to the springs because the plane left so late… does anyone know if there are busses leaving at 10:00 or so tonight from Den? Or do those just run tomorrow.

Did your son find a ride?

My sons, along with 2 or 3 other cadets were also late getting back tonight.

What exactly are the procedures to take if a cadet knows that through cancelled flights or other problems beyond their control?

call your cq and let them know. not so much you can do.

Apparently, a lot of cadets got re-routed because of bad weather around the country. From what I have heard, they are usually fairly understanding (within reason?) about late arrivals when cadets are at the mercy of weather.

they want you back here:
- safe
- on time

if its a safety thing beyond your control, they’re very understanding. if it’s poor planning that caused it though (ie you decide to wait til noon to leave when it’s a 7 hour drive in perfect weather knowing there’s a snow storm), disciplince may or not be accompanied.

planes are beyond your control. as are lines over 30 min long to check in which make u miss ur flight to houston to visit hornet’s parents ;)

that explains a lot…

lmao

haha. makes sense now, doesn’t it?

as much sense as you will ever make. lol
that’s hilarious.

God Bless USAFA Grads… My son had missed the earlier connecting flight, and ran to make the last plane out of denver to the springs… with NO ticket in hand! The gate was closed, however the pilot saw my son and his roommate and had them re-open the gate and reconnect the jetway so the boys could get on the plane!! They got on the plane with NO ticket in hand… LOL… guess the pilot was a grad and had mercy on the boys. Saved them from a long night in the airport. :D

Wow, that is impressive.

Last summer, myself and three other cadets were upgraded to first class, after the pilot (a grad) noticed us. He talked with us for a while before the flight, then had us upgraded when we boarded the plane.
