So when I applied to Cornell I applied to CALS for Communications. I was accepted as a GT and am about to head to Ithaca after one year and a previous school. After taking some comm classes last year, I realized that is not what I want to major in. I e-mailed someone about a Biology major in CALS and possible options and received an e-mail from the CALS Admissions Director about how in my application I never once mentioned anything about wanting to go into a field other than Communication. I am only a Sophomore. Is it true that I won't be able to change majors even if I have the requirements finished by the end of this year? Help please!

you probably cant change now but maybe once you’re there…

Plenty of people apply to transfer within Cornell to other schools or majors. You would have to do it after a semester or two though, you can’t change that quickly, there is a process to it. I would talk to someone in the CALS office one you get to Cornell and also your academic advisor.
