Stuck on two engineering fields

What are the similarities and differences between computer hardware Electronics Engineering? If I choose to major in computer hardware, is it common to crossover between the two careers?

I’ve never heard of a computer hardware major. It sounds like computer engineering (is that what you mean?), which is basically a subset of EE focusing on computers.

Majoring in EE will give you a broader knowledge base and leave open the possibility of computer-focused grad school. Majoring in computer engineering will give you the ability to find software jobs as well as computer hardware jobs (although I suppose an EE major could qualify for some software positions as well), which may be a wiser move in terms of job availability.

Either way, there is a lot of overlap, so go for which one you enjoy more in terms of the required classes for the major.
