Daughter is being recruited by Rhodes as a Student/Athlete, she has D-I offers with scholarship amounts known, she really likes Rhodes and is strongly interested. The problem is due to the Early Decision process, we would not know the funding situation until probably Jan or Feb. Don't believe the D-I schools will wait that long before they offer someone else. Is there any way of getting an idea of what she may be offered in need based and merit based aid?

Rhodes parent here, but I can’t help with the specifics of your problem because D was not a recruited athlete. I am sure this must be a fairly common situation, though; I would definitely recommend talking to someone in the admissions office at Rhodes.

Call the coach and call Ashley Bianchi in financial aid. They won’t be able to give you hard numbers yet, but they can give you guidance on the decision process.

D1 athletics is going to be a vastly difference experience from D3. That may be more important in the decision than the dollar difference.
