Um… It may not be as fun as bartending, but I’d suggest something part time in an office during the week.

Though not a glamorous job, I worked my way through college at the cafeteria. Free food when I was there. Saved on the meal plan. Win-win situation.

resident assistant

Bartender would be great. The money is good and the hours are light. The only problem with that is that you’ll have to get connections.

A lot of my bartender friends make $400+ a shift just in tips.

I sold DVDs for my roommate.

Being a bartender is not really “great” unless you are a woman, sad enough to say. I have a few bartender friends whom are men who don’t make half of what women make. So my suggestion if you are going to be a bartender, grow a pair of boobs.

My suggestion, try working for the school in someway. Your hours won’t be overbearing to interfere with school, will have school holidays and likely weekends off, etc.

If you’re a science or engineering major, work in a lab- not only will you gain experience related to your field of interest, you’ll probably make some money, too.
