student-faculty ratio 6:1

Under facts and figures Penn lists a student-faculty ratio of 6:1.
Is this figure important in ratings?

I am sure that this figure is in some sense technically correct. However I expect it includes graduate students and also medical school faculty etc.
It would be interesting to know the student-faculty ratio for the arts and sciences, ie.
the number of undergrad students divided by number of faculty in arts and sciences.

I think that in engineering it is about 14:1.

I rarely trust any of the student:faculty ratio statistics because most of the time their skewed and inaccurate to work in the college’s favor.
