I am looking to attend (at least) one of the home Michigan Football games. However, I was too late in purchasing season tickets as they sold out quickly. Is it possible for me to still purchase a ticket as a student and sit in the student section? If so, how would I go about doing this?

Yes - purchase tickets from another student. Many post on Facebook in the various Class groups when they are selling. Also, there are groups specifically for buying/selling tickets and other stuff.
Tickets for hot game are probably sold or would be kept, but you should be able to get a ticket from student for a not so popular game like yesterday. The market price for the OSU game is almost the whole season ticket price,
