Student from the UK... Do I have any chance?

I'm applying to the school of arts and sciences...

NO financial aid.

Sat superscored:

Maths: 670
CR: 680
Writing: 740
Overall: 2090

Subject tests:

Lit: 600
Physics: 670

GCSE's 4 A*s, 5 A's, 2 B's

IB - 34 points overall (including bonus points) 33 without bonus point.

EC's... 100 hours of community service, orchestra, choir, football, cricket, rugby etc.

Thank you!

International plus slightly higher than average SAT’s, I think it’s a match.

^^^^^^^

Does being international make any difference?

It means something, especially because NEU loves international kids, hence why they advertise such diversity on campus!

When I visited NEU, I remember that they said that they have a huge population of internationals. Although I don’t get what IBs and GCSEs are, your SAT score looks pretty good and your ECs are plentiful. You have a fairly good chance of getting in.

Your IBs and GCSEs are actually what I’d guess is higher than northeastern’s average (although they don’t post it). I believe I got 35 without bonus points on IB and NEU was sort of a safety school. Your SATs could maybe go up if you really wanted to, but I think you’ll be okay.

And it helps that you aren’t trying for financial aid. I presume you know this, but Northeastern is not need-blind for international students.

Is there any particular reason you didn’t take A-Level exams?

^ my school was an ib only school.
