Student from UK

Dear All,

I’ve just finished my first year at high school in the UK doing AS level and I was wondering if anyone knows anything about admission for UK students. I was born in Poland where I studied until last year. I have finished school with honours diploma and was one of the best students in my class (highest 10%). Unfortunately as I came to the UK I started having problems (mainly because of advanced English and my parents divorce (which didn’t happen in the end)). I was trying my hardest which definitely can be proved by my teachers in their recommendations but my grades were rather… very low. They are as follow: A in Polish (A* in fully completed A level), B in economics, D in Maths and D in history. These grades are somewhere in the middle when compared to all grades from students in my school. Therefore I’m asking if it’s possible for me to get into any decent university with such low grades? My sat score is 1660 where 460 in CR, 620 in Maths and 580 in Writing, but I’m retaking the test to raise my CR score as I lost some time on reading sections by being confused with them. My IELTS score is 7.5. I’m doing DofE and EPQ which are a very big plus at universities in the UK. I’m playing for my school basketball team which is among the best ones in my county (no matches lost). I’m setting up a real estate investment club in my school which is my passion. I also have a lot of good extracurriculars like starting my own company, impressive work experience at 2 top real estate development companies in Poland and weekly voluntary service at a primary school. So once again, do I stand a chance at any decent universities? The ones I’m very interested in are: Arizona State University, Penn State University, Concordia University in Irvine, UConn, UC Riverside, Clarkson University, Florida Atlantic University, Florida International University and as my absolute REACH is Pepperdine University and Babson College…

Thank you all for help, it truly means a LOT to me!
