Curious if student location would help admission? For example if the applicant was outside of New England, like from the state of North Dakota?
I would think that it helps with admission. Boarding schools try to “diversify” their schools, so they try to take in students from an amalgamation of places. So if an applicant hails from a place where many, many students apply, it would be a tad more difficult for said applicant to get in. In a nutshell, it can help or hurt admission based on your location’s representation in boarding schools.
North Dakota would certainly help assuming otherwise solid application.
