Student looking to go OOS

Im a junior in TN. I have a 3.93 UW GPA and so far a 25 ACT (trying to get a 29). Im trying to get some academic scholarships.Does anyone know some school that give good scholarships to OOS students. Preferably a biggish school. No small private schools.

It’s hard to get scholarships at most state schools when you’re an OOS students, and most cost a lot with OOS tuition. Depending on income and stats, private schools may cost much less, large or small.

university of pittsburgh in PA gives great OOS merit aid
im from SC and i got full tuition at pitt and will be attending there next year

Look at Clemson and USouth Carolina. They are very generous with OOS students with solid grades and test scores.

Please posters, if you’re going to give David123 info about OOS schools giving merit aid, give him all the info. abc0 got merit aid at Pitt with a 34 ACT and aa 4.1 GPA. The 75% composite ACT for Clemson is a 30. Hmom5 is right - OOS is expensive and private schools frequently have more merit $ for people OOS.

its not that im against private schools, i just do not want to go to a small one. bigger ones OOS would be fine.

My daughter is from Vermont w/ 30ACT/2090 SAT and 3.7GPA (unweighted, many AP/Honors) and received nice merit aid from Ohio State University (honors program, too). Total that we would have paid was less than in-state tuition. (2100+7200 per year). Highly recommend looking there if you like big school atmosphere. The campus is amazing, workout facility was mind blowing, and OSU is in the process or rebuilding a huge student union. My daughter had it as a final 3, but chose Boston U because they came through w/ some terrific merit aid and its 11 hours closer.
