Student Marine Biology Math Level Requirement out of High School?

I am thinking about getting a B.S. in Marine Biology, but I wanted to know what the math level requirement was before entering into the program as a freshman? What do most universities require?

I am currently in Geometry, and a sophomore; so I will take Trigonometry my senior year. My math level was decided when I was in 6th grade, so there was nothing in the past I could have done about it.

Is my math level sufficient, or should I take Calculus over the summer after my senior year at a community college before entering into university?

Thank you.

That depends more on the college you’re applying to than the major. Taking calculus at a community college could help in terms of knowledge, but not in terms of admissions.

Completion of trigonometry and precalculus in high school so that you are ready to take calculus (and statistics) in college is sufficient at all but a few super-elite STEM-focused schools.
