I am currently registering for my senior year next year and I was wondering if it would be smart to take math or not.
I have already completed: Alg 1, Geometry, Alg 2, Pre Calc and AP Stats
I would rather be taking 3 sciences in my senior year as I am interested in pursuing a career in the science fields. Im also not the strongest at math so I would probably be taking BUsiness Calc as my math if I were to take math senior year
Thank You
Math goes hand-in-hand with science. Sorry, but taking three science classes and no math is very unbalanced (especially as you have not exhausted the math offerings of your high school). I think admissions officers will look askance at your application if you don’t have it, especially as a future science major. Calc will be unavoidable if you pursue science in college, and it will be easier and slower in high school. Someone else will have to comment about Business Calc. What other Calc is offered at your school?
Which science classes have you already taken, and which were you planning to take? What is your favorite science?
What is your current GPA unweighted? . What are your math scores? What sciences have you taken and planning on taking senior year? Also what does your counselor /teachers say?
Just about any science as stated you need calculus. Getting a basic foundation is high school is extremely helpful for college and makes you more competitive also.
I would never suggest 3 sciences to anyone at the same time. Either in high school or college. What are you thinking on taking?
You need the trifecta of biology, chemistry and physics to usually graduate. What else are you thinking on taking?
A science major in college will need to take calculus (and probably something more in-depth than business calculus).
Yes, replace one of the non-big-3 sciences with Calc.
