I thought that I read something about a new student orientation this summer, and that would be the perfect time to see the campus. I want to go, but i dont remember where I read it, or the details about it. If anyone knows what i am talking about... please help me!

Welcome to SDSU Orientation

I hope that helps! :)

that link only talks about one at the end of Aug. I was wondering if there was anything that happened during the summer

I was told by a woman named Natha Kraft today that the orientation will be held in July. She said she will have the exact dates by next week. I guess you can search the faculty directory for her name and maybe e-mail her. I will post as soon as I hear.

Forgot to ask you if you are an incoming first time freshman? I see you are from Colorado so you got in from out of state also. Good for you. My daughter won't know anybody either. What an exciting time for you both.

I am an incoming freshman. I am very excited to go. Please do post when you find out, i really want to go:)

The lady called me today and said she will have the definite date on March 3rd and she will call me then to tell me. I will post as soon as she calls. I guess you will have to travel from Colorado to attend. We are actually moving from NJ to San Diego in July so we will be living there in time for orientation. It is a big cross country move that I have been planning for 15 years. I just put the deposit down on our new apartment which is 20 minutes from the school. My daughter is going to live on campus though. what dorm are you considering? She is thinking Zura since it is the best way to meet people and she wont have any "high school friends" at the school like the local kids will. I know it is run down but it seems like alot of fun. I told her she can always come home to the new apartment if she just ever needs a really good nights sleep.

Tell your family that we will be living close by so they wont worry about you. I will only be 20 minutes away if you ever have an emergency. I am a very responsible parent (and I'm really cool :) - at least I was cool back in the day)

Well thank you very much, I will tell my mom, but i dont think she is worried about me, I dont get myself into too much trouble. I was thinking Tenochca Hall or Zura but i am asking some students there about the dorms first. I am planning on traveling out there for the orientation. Does your Daughter have a Facebook or Myspace?
