Student type at Villanova?

Anything you can tell me, from diversity to LGBTQ population to preppy, would be interesting. Thank you!

I visited last year and one of the areas that struck me was that the vast majority of the students were Catholic (I think it’s 80%). While I don’t think that anyone of another religion is made to feel unwelcome, when someone in the info session asked “Where do the Jewish students go to practice their religion,” none of the students/administrators seemed to have an answer.

Generally, students had a preppy, sort of sporty vibe and seemed very nice, but somewhat homogeneous.

There is a Hillel chapter at Villanova.
Yes it is predominantly Catholic, but the number our tour guide gave was 60%

There are Hillel chapters and there are Hillel chapters. Villanova’s Hillel doesn’t have a building or a rabbi and doesn’t offer kosher food. According to this article, there were about 45 Jewish members in 2011 http://www.jewishexponent.com/‘where-students-can-learn-about-their-faith

And I don’t know the actual number of Catholics- our student panel last year told us about 80%, but they could have been wrong.
