I recently visited Northeastern and fell in love with the campus and the area, but the school seems completely career focused. Does that vibe carry over to the students as well, or are the students more relaxed than the tour made them seem?

On the tours they like to point out what makes the school different and special, which is the career prep. But that’s not the overwhelming drive of students. Students are generally motivated and think about the future, but this doesn’t mean fully career-focused. You definitely get the whole college experience. Except for a lot of your friends being on co-op at any given time, it doesn’t seem that different from any other college in that regard. It’s a university, so classes are the main focus.
