Student Visa Rejected?

I sure everyone here has heard atleast one "rejected visa" story. Now that almost everyone has applied for the Fall 2009 and waiting for the decisions to come out, the question that comes up is VISA!

Whats with all of this? Even if we do get accepted in our "dream colleges", will we ever really make it there?

2 years ago, Hassaan Yosuf was accepted at harvard with full aid from my high school and he applied for the visa which he got very late so he had to defer his admission at harvard for an year so he turned from Harvard '11 to Harvard '12 due to the visa.
but never mind harvard is harvard...i can wait three times longer.

Last year a guy from my school went through the same thing. He was admitted to Trinity College with 100% aid and his visa status remained "in progress" for an entire year. He was given semester breaks. =/

I can see a pattern...

Gap year sounds cruel! I'd hate it if it happens to me...

This sucks :( I am on a full-ride, and my I-20 hasn't arrived yet. Better get a lot of safeties in.

I am hoping to see someone (who really knows about this stuff) post here and clear this mess up. My decisions aren’t even out yet and I’m already worried that the visa issue might screw up!
