its gerat that we hyave this group.... we should really help each other and find out what are our chances of getting into a good college in the us! please reply!!

Tomas, It is great that you have posted this forum since we can help each other out and really learn about our options and interests.

I think this is a great thread, it is great that you created it Tomas. It would be great if anyone joined in the conversation, and answered Tomas' question. Who has info about being a colombian student studying in the US?

hi people...i love u all

please all of you who have information on the topic.. give us advice!!!! i dont know what to do about my decision when it comes to studying here or in the us!!!

Gabriela i think yo should study here because Colombia is a country with very little amount of persons that have oppurtunities and knowledge like you an Colombia needs those people here in Colombia. So my opinion is stay here and study and if you want you can go to make a masters outside the country.

My opinion.
Chaid Neme

Chaid.. thanks for your oppinion! i Think its very valid and i will take it in to account because you have very valid arguments!!

I agree with you Gabriela, it would be great to have info on where it is better to study. I have the same doubt as you, but I will probably end up studying here because of financial reasons and because I want to.

tomas, to decide what career you are going to study in th usa, you do the same as you would do if you were going to study in colombia. choose what you like and what you would really want to work in after you have that decide you continue for look for the universities strong in the subject of your choise.

Chaid, your opinion is good, I have thought it is a good idea to study first here in Colombia and then, a masters in the US, or somewhere outside the country

Thankyou for your participation. Guzman Julio

David and Gabriela: if you dont know what to study it is better for you to start now searching for carriers and universities because when it is time to go to collage you may get stuck and you may lose one year of collage because you dont know what are you going to study.
Chaid Neme

That is a very good opinion Chaid, many, many people lose a year in college because they change their opinion on what they want to study. It is better for everyone to know what they want to study before they enter a university. Thanks for the opinion, but I can't just decide out of the blue what I want to study, it takes time to decide.

I believe this is true, but also everyone would like to study in the states. You have alot to choose of, not everyone has the same opportunities.

yes david, it takes time but having that in mind, you should really begin to put some serious though in to it or maybe take some time after you graduate to make up your mind, an this way be absolutly sure you dont make the wrong desition when choosing your career.

I just came back from living the states for 4 years and life is totally different here from what it is their. I for a momment thought about going into los andes which is why i went into sociales class, but i have now made up my mind that studing in the U.
