Study abroad budget

My "15 is in London. Landed yesterday. Anyone with experience care to share how much their student spent. Realize this is highly variable, just looking for ballparks.

We had to deposit cash in an account for her and told her we expect that to be her budget. Extra travel expenses or purchases need to be pre approved.

Room is paid for, we will cover books and medical expenses.
All other expenses should come out of the account opened for this purpose.

TIA

London is expensive. Looking back to 2011, a sandwich from Pret a Manger (spelling?) was $10 to $15. A decent dinner ran at least $25 – and I’m talking an unpretentious chain like Bella Italia (recommend them, actually). If she’s housed where she can do her own breakfast, maybe a PBJ sandwich for lunch, etc., you can trim costs. Plays, museums, etc., add up, but I would hope a lot of that is covered in whatever program she’s on.
