So, I'm thinking of studying abroad (London) but also really want to Cornell in Washington. Ideally, I'd just like to get a semester of each done in my Junior year, but I've heard that that's a bad idea in terms of forging relationships with your professors at Cornell and gaining recommendation letters. I'm thinking of going to law school, so that's important to me.

Also, I was wondering how this would work in terms of double majoring (I'm in A&S). I'm a Physics and Government major, and fulfilling the gov requirements won't be too hard in DC, but would it be possible do it at say, Kings College London, as I know UK colleges are less flexible.

So I was thinking of maybe doing one semester in Sophmore year and one semester during Junior year. I really don't want to Washington in Summer, cuz I don't feel that the experience would be the same and I'd rather keep my summers open for internships / summer courses. I'm just worried that then I have kind of a disjointed college experience and will struggle to keep up relations with the friends I have and am just making. Also, another mildly problematic issue would be the fact that I've signed a lease for an apartment next year and that the apartments have ridiculously early commitment requirements.
