I will be applying to study abroad at Queen Mary, University of London. Before I apply I would like to know if there were ways to finance it. I still have to pay my school's tuition for the semester I am gone. My financial aid/loans will cover that as usual.
However, the financial aid office or the study abroad office at my school could not really answer any questions I had about covering tuition and room/board at the foreign institution. I am applying to Queen Mary via my school, but this is not an exchange program which is why I also have to pay Queen Mary's tuition fees. I was wondering if it was possible to extend FAFSA to cover not only my school's tuition but also some of the foreign institution's tuition. Also, can Stafford loans be applied to the foreign institution even though I would already have some being applied toward my school's tuition? Or is it very likely that my family and I will have to pay for foreign tuition and room/board out of pocket? Hope this all made sense. Thanks!

If anyone knows anything, please let me know!
