Study Abroad Insurance?

My daughter will be in the Galapagos Islands for a study abroad program in the spring. She just applied for a study abroad scholarship that has this requirement:

"if you are selected as a scholarship recipient, you must furnish evidence of international insurance coverage, to include health, accident, emergency evacuation and repatriation insurance."

Does anyone know how expensive this type of insurance is? Where does one purchase it? We have a zero EC and this scares me that we will not be able to afford it. Her merit scholarship and other financial aid will cover the other costs but I did not think about insurance.

I posted this in the parent’s forum as well. Here is the answer I got for anyone interested:

Not very expensive. Here’s a link to the one we bought. $32 monthly for basic plan or $44 monthly for more deluxe.
