Hi,

I'm a third year chemical engineering undergrad in a US university that's ABET-acredited. I am thinking of spending my first semester of senior year at my home country's national university, the National University of Singapore.

Most pressing question: how do employers look at a "study abroad" semester such as this? One side benefit is that at my US college, the grades do not transfer when you take a class outside. Meaning to say, I just need to pull C's in all the classes I take at NUS during the semester, and I will receive credit for the classes I took at NUS, but these will not affect my GPA.

In general, thoughts on this somewhat crazy idea? Another concern of mine is not being in the US (in my college) during fall semester of senior year. I think that's a very important recruitment season among employers, and I'd like to interview where I can.

Also, anyone has knowledge about NUS and their policy on such 1 semester take-a-couple-of-engineering classes things?
