Studying abroad at the National U of Singapore for Engin.

for Engineering. I know the classes will be taught in english, but will they be any different than the engineering classes I take at UConn because of langauge barriers or the quality of the institution?

bump please?

That’s really cool, what university do you attend that sends you to Singapore for study abroad?

The University of Connecticut. Do you know how the NUS will teach engineering classes?

If your school is sending you to abroad then your school will recongize the credits you earn form there. So it means those courses will be very “equivalent” to what you get in the States.

I wouldn’t be so worry about the language barrier. Singapore people learn English at very young age. They may not speak English as their only primary language (they have several official languages…), but you won’t have big problems communicating with them.

Their accent is tolerable I think. I have Singaporean friends. They are not too bad.
There is also this “Singaporean English” which we deal with every day… so yeah.
