So I'm doing my final reviews for the AP U.S. Gov exam. If you want to study with me (i.e. swap review material, links, quiz each other, etc. etc.), send me a PM!

Good luck.

So I'm doing my final reviews for the AP U.S. Gov exam. If you want to study with me (i.e. swap review material, links, quiz each other, etc. etc.), send me a PM!

Is the electoral college mentioned in the Constitution? If not, how did it get created? Thanks

hahaha i'm so screwed. yeah, PM me for quizzes and stuff. kr0nnik i dont think i can help you out... our class doesn't even teach with textbooks...

Yeah it's mentioned in Article II of the Constitution, however, it was redefined to more or less what we know today by the 12th amendment.

Does anyone know which court cases we need to know for the test? (website) Is it mostly the civil rights/liberties one?

Yeah, know civil liberties cases.. as well as other landmarks (Marbury v. Madison, McCulloch v. Maryland, etc).

Do free response questions need to be very long? In reviewing the free response questions, I've been getting all the points for the things I need to say but my essays have been less then one side of a page each. Am I doing something wrong?

yeah, focus on the bigger court cases mostly, like the tinker vs desmoines, and nj vs. tlo and stuffs.

thanks y'all

The test is tomorrow...you have no idea how nervous I am.

My scores on practice exams:

Sparknotes diagnostic: 1
1999 AP exam: 3
2002 AP exam: 4
Princeton Review: 2

I wouldn't be so worried if I was more consistent. I wish I could do as well as the girl in my class who only misses 1 or 2 questions on the multiple choice part of practice exams. haha

Jman I am in the exact same boat as you.. I just haven't taken the 1999 and 2002 exams. I'm really upset because I've studied so long and hard, but that apparently isn't enough to even obtain a passing grade.

does anybody know, if I don't answer 40 of the multiple choices and do uberly good at DBQs and Essay..........(almost like perfect scores) what will I end up w/? A 1,2 or 3?

If you answered all 20 questions you did answer right. And got all of the essays perfect, I'd say a 3 or MAYBE [but probably not] 4, since they each count for half of your grade.

I have to keep reminding myself to not guess on questions I have no clue about.

I think I could do good on the essays....it's the multiple choice I have trouble with.

I hate the chart and roman numeral type of questions. My plan is to first skip past all those questions (then once I'm done, go back to answer them) tomorrow, since they take up so much time.

Am I the only one constantly failing Sparknotes practice tests? That test was a burn, everyone in my class bombed it. So now I have no confidence and am losing my mind...

on the sparknotes I got a 3, then I took a Princeton Review and barely got a 5

so I would say the sparknotes is much harder

I got a 2 (pre-studying like back in january) then a 4 (an hour ago) on sparknotes.

4 sparknotes
5 pr
5 1996 test

btw, any1 have notes to send me
im so nervous of the free response (im self-studying)

2002 test- 5
1999 5
1994 5
1989 4
sparknotes 3
cliffnotes 3

i dont know which one to believe

here's a nice link http://courseweb.hopkins.k12.mn.us/mod/resource/index.php?id=435

Sparknotes is really hard...don't worry about it
