Hello Roslin,

Its good to hear that you opt for study in Germany. You’ll now get 18 months job search visa after the completion of your course.Options of getting a bluecard is great as you are an Engineer. The best option is to get advice from the people who are expert in this field. You can look for Acad Global education,Trivandrum. They are based in Germany so you’ll be able to get thorough counselling from the experts itself.

Thank you

Hi roslin,

I’d suggest checking out the DAAD for solid information and perhaps the “CHE Rankings” at Zeit.de for a general idea of which universities are worth checking into.

Many of the technical universities have Master’s programs in English.

Hi roslin,

Am answering a bit too late - and I don’t have the answer to your question.

However, I have spent a lot of time in Germany - most German universities have English version websites - you wont need an agency (though they can be helpful).

A lot of German universities are free (or very cheap, even if you come from outside of the US).

Someone mentioned DAAD - that’s a good place to start. I came across DAAD many years ago when I was looking to study abroad in Germany.

In general, you will find that you will have to speak a certain amount of German - there are schools called “Studienkolleg” that specialize in exactly that - teaching German to foreign student that want to study in Germany - I know people who went to one - they got good results.

Just do some research - you’ll find that it is pretty easy to come across info. And remember - students from all over the world do just what you are planning to do in Germany. I had an American friend and two Italian friends that did that.

Good luck!
