How exactly do you guys study for a math quiz or test? I was wondering because math is sort of a tough subject to study for i think. I mean, history is based on facts, so studying for that is a piece of cake. Science can also be pretty easy, and for English if you just read the book...you can pretty much ace the test. But what about for math?

well, if it applies make sure that you know all of your formulas....

Other than that, the best way to be successful in math in my opinion is through repetition. If you do one type of problem enough times, you will most likely know how to do it and probably get it right on the quiz/test.

Usually there are the same types of problems that repeat through out a chapter/unit/section, so I would do different types of those problems over and over until I got the concept.

If your teacher writes out problems on the board, write them down and compare with what is in the book. I can often learn better from just staring at a problem and figuring out patterns rather than having someone explain it to me.

Then again, I usually don't study much for math because the homework and review in class is usually enough. Too much studying can get confusing, for me at least.

I do 2 odd problems from each section of different problamatic equations.

As in I take 2 odds from each area of where a different method/formula is used. So that way I can try them then check my answer.

I usually don't study. The only points I ever miss are for mistakes, and you can't fix those by studying.
