I’ve just finished my junior year of college at UCSB as a Psych major. Under my belt, I have taken a couple introductory bio and chem classes, statistics and introductory calculus, as well as some research in Psychology. I need to take 9 more courses in order to get my BA.
Each quarter (Fall Winter Spring Summer) I can take 4 classes along with research, but can only stay at UCSB for four more quarters.
Given that I will graduate with a Psychology BA, what should I do to help get accepted into graduate school for Marine Biology?
I have been told to do research in Biology and take as many courses in Chem, Physics, Calculus, and Biology as I can. I’ve also been told that research is more important than coursework, as I can “catch up” by taking the necessary introductory courses in graduate school.
