I have a BA in Business, but am interested in applying to a Masters in Biology program at CSULB

I graduated with a BA in Business Administration, but I am really passionate about Marine Biology (i know it’s a dramatic shift). I would like to get my Masters in Biology, and hopefully use that to apply for PhD programs. I want to apply to CSULB to start the Fall 2018 semester, but I don’t really have research experience or science coursework. Would it be beneficial to take community college science courses (Chem/Bio/Calculus)? Also, I am going to reach out to professors at CSULB in hopes of volunteering in one of their labs. Any tips on what to say when reaching out to them via email considering my lack of experience? Thanks for any help you can provide!

Do you have any science coursework at all? Take a look at the pre-reqs for the courses in the MS Marine Bio program, and work your way backwards to find where you need to start.
