i’ve noticed that the online form of the app asks a couple of questions, including ‘what other languages do you speak fluently’ (a question i would like penn to know the answer to) that DO NOT show up on the pdf form of the app that i get when i click print preview. it’s not that the answer field is left blank, it’s that the question actually does not appear. has anyone else noticed this? is there anything to be done, or is it just a glitch?

well. you're not supposed to do the application online, print it in PDF and mail it into them....

Are you talking about the actual printable form of the app or the online app or what? yo no comprende :(

before you submit the online app, you're supposed to click print preview and check the pdf form to make sure everything fits within the margins, etc. the pdf form is what the admissions committee is going to see, so you want to make sure all the information is visible and correct. but there are certain questions, like the one i mentioned, that do not appear on the pdf form -- in other words, the admissions committee will not see them. i'm confused as to why this is, looking for some help.

i will tell you the admissions office is not very helpful when it comes to the online app.

I think your best bet is to email the tech group which runs the application website (I think thats an option on one of the side panels). I have pin number problems and they responded within 24 hours, as promised.

dharmabandit: I had the same problem when I was filling out my online app (one of my courses wouldn't show up on the PDF version). I asked the technical support and they said that the admissions committee is aware of the technical discrepancies. They said that the committee will view both what the applicant wrote in his/her online application and the PDF format. So, don't worry if it doesn't show up. Relax.

oh good, that makes me feel much better. thanks for the advice.
