Stupid ACT questions

ok, so i'm considering taking the ACT, since my SAT math scores tend to be on the low(er) end. But I was just wondering...
1.) Can you take it more than once without colleges noticing?
2.) Is it harder/easier for language oriented people?

I can answer question #1. As of this year the colleges would only see which score you sent them. They would not see all of them. I think ACT will stay that way but the SAT is thinking of adopting the same rule as ACTin the future. Only the tests you take that you want colleges to see will be sent.

Generally you can choose which ACT scores to send a college. However, some colleges specifically ask that you send all scores for all tests taken. For example, I believe Yale requires all test data and their web site FAQ states:

In evaluating SAT or ACT results, does Yale consider scores from previous test dates?

Readers of your application will see all of the test results that are in your file, and they will supply the admissions committee with the highest scores you attain on each section of the SAT I or on the composite score for the ACT. However, if you take a particular test more than once, the readers may note for the committee that results have been achieved from repeated testing, and committee members may ask at any time to see all testing data.
