Hey! So I gave my SAT today- as in, 1st October- and my Maths Level 2 didn’t go as well as I hoped. Basically, I missed around seven questions and got around four wrong. Since I’m applying to MIT EA (and a bunch of other Ivy Leagues for RA), I know for a fact that my score is probably less than their 25th percentile. The thing is, I’m generally really good at Maths- I’m at the top of my class, scored a straight 800 in the Maths section in SAT 1, done a bunch of national contests and things like that- but today just didn’t seem to do it for me. I really want to end up MIT (it’s my dream school. AeroAstro all the way!) so is it a good idea retaking it in November? Because I’ve got my SAT scheduled again in November but I got a 1480 the first time round… I don’t know what to do! Should I move my SAT to December and give my Maths Level 2 first, or should I live with the scores I’m getting (which will ultimately lessen my chances of getting in)?
