ok… so I’m a little late with my subject tests. I’m registered for January and I’m taking bio and lit… was just curious what some of you are taking/have taken yours in and, if you have taken them already, what your scores were?

I took Math 1 and World History. got 750 and 760 (didnt study much for these tests. 1 day for math 1 and 10 days for WH, and hadnt taken an AP in WH).

Before that, had a jinxed spell. In january of 2005, I took SAT II Physics and got a 690, and Math IIC and got a 680. After completing AP Physics B (same curriculum as SAT II Physics), and getting a 5 on the May exam, I take the June exam and get a 680!?! and get a 650 on IIC. From experience, I can say that if you study, you get lower scores than if you dont :p

I was accepted early with a 790 on USH, a 790 on Math 2, and a 750 on Lit

accepted with 620 bio and 720 hist--the SAT 2 That matters most is the one of ur intended major, the rest can only help you or hurt you (if you do abysmally, which I thought I did on bio, but apparently my 4 on the AP test and my A in AP bio offset it)

silver- i don't think it matters that much, since most people change their major along the way anyway

as long as you have a feild that you are both passionate and good at (which can be shown a number of ways, one of which is the SAT 2) then you should be good

accepted w/ 660 math I, 790 US Hist

Applied to RD w/ 800 Math IIC 800 Physics and 790 Chem. Should've taken a language... but I got too lazy. Too many differences in the curriculums... It really sucks to prep for US univ from Canada eh? ;)

accepted with m2c 800 bio 750 chem 750

um...i have lit 770, us hist 770, writing 790 but then i have a math 580 i never bothered to retake because i did it soph year before i even learned trig and also, b/c i got the scores i wanted w/ lit and us hist. is this bad?

Yeah... I would retake math if I were you. Why'd you do it so early in the first place?

they only count the top 2 scores, and your top three are VERY solid toffee, so dont worry. As long as u have decent math grades in school and good AP Calc or Stats exam grades (4 or 5) that 580 shouldnt work against you.

That is what happened with me too! I did math II in June and got 680 retook in Nov without studying and got 750!

uh-oh double quote...COOL

Does it matter what year I took subject test? Because looking at my scores indicates that the later in my high school career I took the test, the better I did. Here are my scores:
9th - Biology 660
10th - Math IIC 700
Chemistry 730
11th - US History 800
Does this mean anything?

well i was so dumb and listened to someone who told me to take it. i know i can do at least a hundred points better, but i never thought to since i already had the other scores. i am taking AP calc and my SAT I math is not great, but passable (680) but i mean, i'm a senior and i already applied. can you take it again and send the scores?

gosh... all of your scores are amazing... what did u get on the reasoning??

Yeah, I'm just cool like that.

bio-m 740 in 9th
math IC 720 in 10th
us history 770 in 11th.

My daughter didn't even report her subject tests because she didn't do well. She got in using the ACT. I throw this in in case there are others that just have a problem with the way the College Board phrases its questions ...

Then again, there are no subject tests relevant to her concentration, so their absence was unremarkable.
