Just submitted my application for Cal Poly SLO right now, but I’m a bit worried they won’t receive my SAT scores in time. I went on collegeboard and sent my SAT scores with rush delivery (2 business days approximately). It says over here <a href=“Cal State Apply | CSU”>Cal State Apply | CSU that test scores should be received by December 1, so I’m really worried that they won’t receive it in time. Is this a problem I should be worried about :(?

Oh I have the same issue as you I submitted them no rush on the 27th. However on Cal Poly’s website [Freshman Testing Information- Admissions - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo](<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions) it says “Regular decision applicant test scores must be received no later than January 15” so who knows.

The link you have is valid for 2012-2013

Interesting. Did you see the dates for test score submission on the application or the website? When my daughter applied, the application specifically said “do not send scores until asked to do so”. She has set up her Portal and under “to do” it has nothing, so we have not sent scores yet.

It was this way when her older siblings applied three and four years ago also.

This is from the website about test submission and documents:
Cal Poly requires that test scores be sent electronically either from the testing agency or via the CSUMentor website. Paper test scores will not be accepted.

College Entrance Tests (ACT and/or SAT-I math and critical reading only) are used in several ways at Cal Poly:
•ACT and/or SAT-I test scores are used in the test score field in the freshman admission selection process. ACT is the preferred test for Cal Poly.
•SAT-II test scores may be used for additional college prep coursework from high school by subject matter if the test scores meet a minimum established score (refer to the CSUMentor application website for specific information and minimum score requirements).
•Fall Quarter: If an applicant has updated test scores after submitting the application, Early Decision applicant test scores must be received no later than November 15. Regular decision applicant test scores must be received no later than January 15. If you are applying to Art and Design or Music, submitted test scores must be received no later than January 1.

Other documents such as resume, letters of recommendation etc… should not be sent unless requested.

My son applied ED and had his test scores sent Oct 8.

Gumbymom–thanks for this info; it’s helpful. My D applied early decision and we are waiting to hear, but should she get deferred to regular decision we’ll go ahead and send her SAT-II scores to help her chances, since she took 3 of the tests. She didn’t take her SAT-II tests until November (she was supposed to take them in the spring but forgot her id, grrr) so her scores weren’t back in time to submit for ED consideration. Had I not read your post we might not have considered sending them if in fact she gets deferred to RD. So, thanks–I had read this on the Cal Poly SLO web site also but it didn’t occur to me until now that we might still want to send in her subject test scores if indeed she doesn’t make it into ED.
