Submitting our Award Letter/Outside Scholarships

<p>1) When do we need to submit our online award letter?</p>

<p>2) If we received more than 3 outside scholarships, then where do we put the other ones on the online award letter?</p>

<p>3) Also, does anyone know what happens when you receive more outside scholarship money than the school costs? I received 8k in merit scholarships, so I just have to pay room and board. I recently received a few local scholarships (and will hopefully get a few more!) and my cost for freshman year is down to about $6k. So if I get more than $6k in additional scholarships, what will happen?</p>

<p>Edit: nevermind, I just found the answer to the third question. "If your total aid exceeds your total charges, we will refund the excess funds to you by direct deposit or check." =D =D <a href="http://www.financialaid.umd.edu/Scholarships/%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://www.financialaid.umd.edu/Scholarships/&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p>

<p>mellow, did you enter your outside scholarships into your online account? If so, do they still appear once you exit and then log in again? My son's do not. When I called, I was told that until the school receives the outside scholarship money, the awards will not appear on your account. Also, if the money does not arrive before tuition is due for the semester, you must lay out the money or incur a penalty.</p>

<p>No, they don't show up after I exit and log in again. That might be because I never pressed "submit" at the bottom of the page.</p>
