fighEr: I won't be able to help you much there, but I believe that you have to translate. You would probably need some kind of official or recognized translating service. But I suppose if that's not available then you'll have to translate it yourself.

Does anyone know if it's better to over declare or under declare? My understanding is that if I apply for fin aid, my chances are diminished, but will the amount be a factor as well? For example will having and EFC which is too low lead to the school thinking that I'm too expensive and not admit me?

Can the common application teacher evaluation forms be sent to colleges which are not member of common application.

Also if a university has different addresses for Financial aid forms and application materials, should then financial aid be sent along with teacher rec, transcripts?

One more question: If student has completed high school at the time of application then should the space in secondary school report about the current year courses be left blank?

I have been thinking TOEFL and SAT scores should be sent to the university directly by the testing agency.

I emailed Princeton and I was told that financial forms should be sent directly to financial aid office and not to Admission office along with application for admission.

I dont think you should attach the photocopies unless they are really significant. I think I've read it somewhere.
Many colleges seem to accept attested copies of SAT and TOEFL scores if they come from an applicant with a really weak financial status.
If I have to send the financial forms directly to the fin aid office, it would be an extra and unnecessary burden. I'm just going to package it in an envelope addressed to the Financial Aid office and put it in the main envelope addressed to the college. I hope that'll work.

I have not received my TOEFL score reports by mail. So I think that option of attested copies is not there for me. In any case I feel that it is safer to send score report by ets.

well you're supposed to seal the packet and then put a school stamp on the opening seal of the package- that way the colleges know that you havent tampered with the packet.
And it is preferred to put a stamp on all the photocopied documents you are sending the colleges. ( thats what i did)

what i did was put the school stamp on all the photocopied documents and have them attested by the GC. I didnt put a stamp on the packet itself and dont plan to. I'm sending the attested copies of the transcripts inside the GC's packet and attested copies of SAT and TOEFL score reports in my own packet.

Oh Gosh one more question! there's one college that asks me to submit the financial aid application by January 1st. i was wondering...is my parents' statement from employer necessary now or along withe the certificate of finances(which has to be submitted later)? I so hope not. pls answer if you have any clue.
I'm sorry if it doesn't have anything to do with the school forms, but I didn't know where to post this.thanks.
