Submitting the SAR for Scholarships

So many scholarships out there are need-based or slightly need-based and require you to submit your SAR (Student Aid Report).

Is the SAR just the information contained in the box at the top of your FAFSA Processed Information screen? If so, do I only need to submit the page with the SAR for scholarships? Do I need to submit any of the FAFSA Data?

Thanks!

I just looked. The SAR I had saved for D to use for scholarships is 5 pages. If you’re in FAFSA and click “view my SAR” or whatever it says, that’s the doc it gives you. It has all the data as far as I can tell.

The FAFSA however says that the SAR is just the box at the top. The other things are additional info. I’m just wondering because on the pages with the other data, I have things transferred from the IRS that are not visible on those pages anyways. Should I still submit all 5 pages?

If you don’t want to ask the scholarship people, then I’d send it all. If there are SS#s on it you might cross those out.
