Do you guys think its worth the money to subscribe to the Wall Street Journal?

This is obviously a question for those who are interested in economics and business and particularly for those who want to learn a lot more about business than what is taught in class.

They even make a pretty strong claim for college students:

"RAISE YOUR GPA
The Journal can help increase your comprehension of coursework and give you more confidence in the classroom, leading to a higher GPA.
COMPETITIVE EDGE
The Journal can help you be better prepared for interviews and impress interviewers with your knowledge of current events and company information.
MULTIDISCIPLINARY
The Journals comprehensive breadth of coverage, features and opinions make it relevant to nearly every class. And if youre a freshman or undecided about your major, you can use The Journal to track industries and decide what field is right for you."

What are also good alternatives for WSJ or complimentary newspapers/websites to read? Like the NYTimes or something if you want to keep up knowledge on business.

Also that claim that they said following the WSJ (or any newspaper to be honest) will increase your gpa, from what it would have been had you not read the news daily. Is that alittle far fetched or?

Feel free to discuss or go off topic or whatever :)
