<p>Hey, well I finally got my Duke FA offer today and I'm if I enroll I'm going to have to pay about $17380 a year. I find this bizarre because Columbia gave me a great offer where I'd only have to pay $3790 a year. I dont understand the disparity because their endowments are pretty similar. With Duke's offer so far off is it even worth filing an appeal? If so, how would I go about it and do you guys think I'd get a revised offer before May 1. Duke is my #1 choice and I'd do anything to go there, but I'm not sure I want to put myself in a financial hole later down the line. Your responses are greatly appreciated.</p>
<p>Definitely call up the financial aid office tomorrow. With such a large disparity it's possible there were mistakes somewhere. Just explain to them exactly what you said in this post.</p>
