sudokus really help with LSAT LG?

so i have taken several lg practice tests and im getting anywhere from 1-4 wrong each time. either my mistakes are really careless and i miss some of the easiest of questions or the actual game I confront doesn't make sense quick and as a result i struggle with time. i have read somewhere that sudokus can help. I have gotten a book and have done a few, does anyone with past experience know if sudokus really make a difference in lsat prep? any advice would be appreciated.

Over years, I’d imagine they would. Short-term LSAT prep is best accomplished with the LSAT itself, though.

I think a sudoku is just a systematic numerical representation of what the logic games are, which is using charts to decide what possible outcomes are and using exclusive options to narrow the list of possibilities. Like said above me, short term I don’t think it would make a big difference, I assume it would actually help more before you actually started studying for the LSAT so that your mind was more trained for that type of exercise.

Have you tried the powerscore logic games bible?

From my experience sudokus make a huge difference in lsat prep. I never used a Logic Games book or any other type of study material for the games section and only missed 1 question maybe two question when I take a full length test. Those mistakes are usually due to my carelessness and not reading the question carefully. Sudokus teaches you one of the most important and time saving techniques of the LG section, Making Inferences. This techniques allows you to understand the linkages, restrictions, or “Hurdle the Uncertainty” methods that the PowerScore LG Bible talks about. I have been doing sudokus for about 3 years now, since my freshman year in college. I normally do only one a day because they are in my school’s newspaper. I don’t think beginner sudoku players will benefit that much because they will only be able to solve the easier puzzles. The Middle, and Hard Puzzles are the ones that forces you to make inferences, so once you master those you will master the LG section of the LSAT.
