I was initially thinking of applying for College of Human Ecology, but I realized that the same major is offered at CALS and CAS.

Considering the admissions rate and the quality of education, which would you suggest?

The quality of the education is the same, the distribution requirements are not.

What do you want to experience: A science-oriented college experience, a human-condition oriented college experience, or a liberal arts college experience?

The great thing about the Biology and Society major is the flexibility you have in choosing the courses to complete your major. This worked well for me since I was in CALS and had limit on endowed credits. What I noticed (and mine observations are identical to CayugaRed's) was that Bio and Society students in CALS designed their major to focus on science (my focus was nutrition, health and society), HumEc students focused on the human aspect and CAS students tended to have a sociological focus.

CayugaRed) I would say liberal arts education.
dewdrop87) Then I would have to narrow down to HumEC and CAS. It is interesting how a same major has different colors in each college :)
