Suggest colleges for me?

I'm currently a junior in high school and I'm having trouble finding colleges I really like, so it'd be great if y'all could suggest some for me?

As of right now, my UW GPA is a 3.9-ish.
I just took the SAT for the first time on Saturday, so I don't have any scores to tell you, but I'm aiming for a 2100.

I live in NC and I absolutely want to stay on the east coast for college. I'd really like a beautiful campus. I'm not looking for a big party scene. I don't really care about prestige that much so long as I can find a job after I graduate. I plan on majoring in elementary education, possibly minoring/double majoring in English literature. I plan on studying abroad, so definitely good

So far I've visited High Point University, which I liked aside from how resort-y it seemed, and App State, which was okay but it wasn't really my thing. I plan on visiting Elon University and Barnard College in the spring. I'd prefer a small LAC, I think.

*I plan on studying abroad, so definitely a school with a decent study abroad program.

Davidson comes immediately to mind.

^No education major or minor at Davidson, I don’t think.

OP, where do you want to teach? It might make sense to go to school in your home state, so that you get the proper certification.

So far your criteria are pretty broad, so there must by dozens of schools that meet them. What can your family afford to pay? Have they run any FA estimators to see what their EFC is? This often dictates where students apply or where they end up.
Are you applying to your state schools?
Have you used any college search engines? The one here on CC lets you use your GPA, test scores, major and a bunch of other criteria to find the “best fits”. It gives you 20, but you can select more at the top. There is also the college navigator which is good - [College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics](College Navigator - National Center for Education Statistics)

Furman University might be a good choice. 4 plus one year, master’s in teaching. They offer specific grants/scholarships for students going into teaching. Great school. Davidson is also a wonderful school. You’d have to get your master’s in teaching elsewhere.
