My son received a "Letter of Assurance" the first week of December stating that he would be offered an appointment if he received a nomination. About 10 days later a fed ex envelope arrived at our door with the appointment.

Suzannegra...Sorry for the late reply. Yes, we are in WV. And we have gone it alone as far as being part of a Parents' Group. It seems more nominees are coming out of WV now. I wonder which airport you will get to know well when your son travels during his four years at KP. Those trips were nailbiters for me when the weather was 'iffy.' But I cannot hold a candle to the families who lived through the Denver blizzard!
I still remember the day my son learned he was appointed. It was Valentine's Day, and our Family Dinner turned into a Celebration Dinner at the restaurant. So, hang in there, those of you who haven't received that FEDEX envelope! You'll remember that day like no other!

MountaineerMom. Your not alone. We are not far from you here in WV. Ours is a struggling Plebe. We have monitored this site for almost a year but mainly just read and learn. Yes the drive to KP is a bear. Congrad to those obtaining appointments.
